You can also use aim messenger to do it, and it's very accessible, and also quite easy to set up.

Hang on a second, you can hook facebook chat to Windows Live Messenger? I need to look into this it seems.

Me too! *smile* I don't like the regular version of FB so stick to the mobile as much as possible. The only thing of course is that I can't chat thru the mobile version. But if it's possible to do it thru WLM, that's awesome! *smile*

Same here, especially with the recent updates to the regular site.

Hi

I use the mobile site or a service called http://www.thefriendmail.com for interacting with the non-chat parts of FB. For chatting, I use Pidgin Messenger, or Adium. Since it works on these, Instant Bird and Miranda should handle it, as well. I've heard talk of fb chatting through Skype, but don't know how this works.

Good Luck

Do any of you all have a link or a description on how to set it up with wlm

That would be great. I figured a quick google search would deliver, but I seem to be overlooking something.

There's also Chit Chat for Facebook, which is a program which works reasonably with Facebook Chat.

sign in to your windows live messenger
tab round until it says, messenger social- and press enter or space on it- both work
then you'll be taken to a website.
go down until it says, connected services

press enter on that link- and then go down to facebook and press enter again.

sign in to your facebook using your regular facebook info

press enter again

then you'll get a page asking if you want to allow access so that messenger can interact with facebook

go down to where it says, allow. and press enter.

then it should work..

i'm not sure if it's the same for all vertions of messenger, but i know for the newest versions it works fine.

I love facebook chat with windows live messenger. What makes it unique is that you get a feature that you dont get when using fb chat on any other platform, the ability to hear when contacts sign in.
